Our top women's side on Thursdays lost by 8 shots to the more experienced Beaumont II side, but they're still second on the ladder and there is much to be positive about.
The famous lyrics by Bing Crosby-Andrews Sisters come to mind: "You've got to accentuate the positive, Eliminate the negative, Latch on to the affirmative, Don't mess with Mr In-between."
Have a close look at the photos: they capture many positives that augur well for the rest of the season and beyond, including the players' determination, collaboration and skills.
Its exciting to remember that the team contains many players who only took up the sport in recent years and have improved in leaps and bounds. See, for example, the photos of Terry Morgan, Victoria Kavanagh and Sharon Gray. Given their commitment, there is no reason their improvement will not continue.
And a new boost for the team is the availability of Cathy Stevens, who played her first game for the side, and has extensive experience handling pressure in the top teams on Saturday.
The Sturt I players are well placed to stay confident, accentuate the positive and continually build on that.
