Izzy values learning from defeat in 3S Sturt I v Glenelg I, Saturday 15 November 2025

Izzy Trenorden, club coach and team leader of Sturt's top team, accepts the reality that Glenelg I won the vital final ends and hence the game:

"The top side fought strongly but Glenelg scored across all rinks on ends 17, 18 and 19 and put us a handful of shots down going into the last few ends.

"Both Trenorden rinks picked up a 3, but still had us 7 down with 2 ends to play on Jono’s rink."

Izzy refuses to blame the loss on the slow greens:

"The slower greens at Glenelg were no excuse to miss the weight or the line with both hands drawing consistently and the weight was a 'kind' push into the head."

Izzy is focused on what and how Sturt can learn from the experience:

"We’ll learn from this match and take away the positives of some really great heads, shots played and voice across the rinks.

"A stronger emphasis on learning to win in these scenarios at training will also be valuable."

The photos from the game capture a range of the positives that can be built upon.
