How have things changed since then?
The introduction of women's pennant teams three seasons ago transformed the club, with the 2020 photos showing only three women bowlers, of the handful playing at that time: Janet Mullins, sitting in the shadows, Heather Todd, standing in the background, and Joylene Koch.
Some of the people in the photos have since passed away or retired from bowls or moved location (eg leading skip Ron O'Neil, in the final photo, to Mildura), but they all enriched the club.
We would probably all agree the new uniform is far superior to the old white one. And the vast array of headwear in 2020 is eye-catching.
What hasn't changed and deserves to be treasured?
... the goodness in people and the camaraderie
... the serious effort towards and respect for bowls
... the attractive grounds and superb greens...
What will we say five years from now, when we look back at the 2025 photos?
