Yesterday, the Open Singles Championship was a cliff-hanger, today the Women Singles Championship the same.
In a very close match, Jackie Hammond narrowly defeated Cathy Stevens in a game Club President Rod Ettridge described as "outstanding".
"It was a great battle between two of our finest women bowlers and it went down to the wire."
Both Jackie and Cathy have won this title previously, so it was always going to be a tussle.
Rod added:
"Nearing the end, Cathy was ahead, only for Jackie to fight back and win.
"Wonderful game. They can both be proud of their efforts."
