Sturt I did a very good job @ Millswood II to the tune of 95-60. Setting the season up well. The 2nds found the going tough @ Adelaide III against a very experienced outfit. No excuses and hoping some form is not too far away. The 3rd side visited Payneham IV and departed with a thrilling 1 shot win. It was claimed the shot of day belonged to Deano Pye when the major did not bowl his last bowl to ensure victory. Some momentum is on the back of this lot. Similarly, Sturt IV is on a roll that continued with a solid 20 shot home win over Tranmere V. Ditto Sturt V as they sent Toorak Burnside IV packing with the rink of Paul Badenoch, John French, John Griffith & Nick Manglaras outstanding. The 6ths just fell short against Hawthorn VII while the 7ths set A green alight with another thrilling 1 shot win. Tremendous efforts Sturt, keep those bowls rolling
