During the current Ashes Test, our very own Sturt member Stephen Jones is hard at work inside the historic scoreboard at Adelaide Oval, a job he has been performing since 2016.
The collage shows Stephen in position within the scoreboard. And he says he loves the view of the game from there.
This Test has been special, with a record crowd on day one, and extreme heat on day two. "Yesterday was draining," says Stephen, "with a lot of fluid intake needed".
For Stephen, the highlight of the first two and a half days was "Carey's hundred. It's always nice to see a hometown player do good."
Meanwhile millions of television viewers around the world have followed the test. At about 2.15pm yesterday, the second day of the match, the television cameras zoomed in and showed a close up of Stephen working within the scoreboard.
Now that Stephen has become a global identity, we hope he doesn't feel he's too big a star for our humble club.
