Despite the disappointment of the loss to Novar Gardens I, Team Leader Gerry Dillon found some positives in the game.
"That was the most disappointing loss for the year, made worse because it was at home.
"It’s the fastest our greens have been and the strong wind made things tough, but Novar Gardens consistently handled the conditions better, and won with more bowls in and behind the head across all rinks."
However, Gerry pointed to the highlight for Sturt III:
"The highlight for us was that we stuck to it, kept our enthusiasm high and kept encouraging each other."
And Sturt III players on B Green benefited from the energy exuded by Sturt I, playing alongside them:
"Those of us playing on B Green fed off the voice and energy of the top side – a real strength developing in our club."
