Bruce Williams, Team Leader of Sturt V in the game against Beaumont VI on Saturday 10 January 2026, was delighted that, "following a great away win against Marion prior to the Christmas break, Sturt V has resumed with a very strong performance against Beaumont."
Bruce noted that "the fifth side, with only one loss for the season, now sits in second position just four points behind Ascot Park."
"The rinks of Nick Manglaras (with Dave Paley, John Griffith and Dick Sismey) and Ed Parker (with John French, Bronwyn Perry and John Panozzo) led from start to finish, demolishing their opponents.
"The Bruce Williams rink (with Jason Kohlmorgen, Lesley Dunstall and Neil Fisher) came home very strongly to achieve a draw.
"The inclusion of experienced players Sismey and Fisher added further strength to our very enthusiastic cohort."
