Before Thursday pennant on 29 January, our exuberant club member and Liberal candidate for the seat of Unley, Rosalie Rotolo, attended the club along with her colleague, Opposition Leader, Ashton Hurn, to announce that if elected to government, they would provide $1 million toward our much needed clubhouse upgrade.
This was very much a result of Rosalie’s tireless and determined efforts toward the betterment of Sturt Bowling Club.
To that end she has managed to get commitments from both the current and previous Liberal Party leaders in this state; well done Rosalie!
Ashton also enjoyed a quick bowl as part of her visit, and participated in an impromptu “Go Sturt” huddle in the clubroom led by, who else, but Bron Perry!
