Saturday 28 February saw the end of the Pennant minor round and as some rain presented, the 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th sides @ Sturt and the 2nd side @ Toorak Burnside did not get started. Very disappointing.
Our top side journeyed to Ascot Park III, played, won by 11 with all rinks up but missed top spot by 1 point. A bit unlucky but a terrific win.
Our 3rd side were away to top side Novar Gardens I and while possible to make the finals these mathematical propositions rarely come to fruition. And so they didn't!
However, rink of the day did come from this side with congratulations to David McVicar, Ward Swansson, Cheryl Saunders & Deane Pye in an outstanding 31-14 victory. To add the cream, they managed a 5 on the last end bringing the overall score from 3 down to 2 up in a very good come from behind victory.
