During winter, Sturt women pennant bowlers are staying connected and bubbly.
Following a very successful lunch a few months ago at the restaurant at Living Choice - a Platinum Sponsor of the club - for women in the lower pennant Divisions, the host Julie Short decided to organise another lunch.
She also decided to expand the invitation to all the women pennant bowlers.
With administrative assistance from Cheryl Saunders, invitations were issued and the resultant photos below tell the story - a large crowd, lovely ambience, great food and wine and lots of laughs.
A number of Sturt members including Julie Short reside at Living Choice and have a good relationship with the restaurant manager, who generously topped up bubbly glasses to cap off a highly enjoyable occasion.
The event was so successful the next one will now be held at the same venue on 30 July.
Meanwhile the group agreed at the lunch to stay in touch about some upcoming country tournaments and participating in the World Bowls Series.
