Then, on Wednesday 22 July, before Winter Bowls was washed out, Paul arrived wearing the spectacularly colourful outfit featured above.
Paul freely admits he chose it in the hope of taking out the coveted annual Brightest Bowler award. Healthy confidence ... or naked ambition?
