Every Winter Bowls season produces its front-runners.
These are the bowlers who perform week after week, regardless of whether the greens are fast or slow, or whether the weather is warm, cold, sunny or wet.
With only a maximum of three playing days remaining in the two competitions, the battle for top spot is reaching its climax.
On Saturdays, Steve van der Veen leads the field, with Paul Badenoch, Stew Allen, Alan Speck and Libby Lock all within striking distance.
On Wednesdays, Cathy Stevens heads the leaderboard, chased by Steve van der Veen, Giovanni Spagnuolo, John Blue, Mick Underwood and Ralph Hounslow.
Can Steve and Cathy hold on?
Or will one of the chasing pack produce a late-season surge?
