Cold and bleak conditions presented as 44 bowlers converged on Sturt for an afternoon of enjoyable bowls. But for a slight pre break drizzle, the rain stayed away.
Steve van der Veen in polo shirt, shorts and thongs feels no cold and saluted as the daily champion on +15. 2nd to 5th places were decided on countback with Cathy Stevens, Shane Ettridge, Ned Kelly & Darrin Smith all on +12.
Steve van der Veen & Ned Kelly won the best 2nd round with +12 while John Lampard, Paul Teesdale and Rod Stuart saluted in the draw!
Cathy Stevens is now Wednesday Shield leader with the pursuiters being led by Steve van der Veen, Giovanni Spagnuolo, John Blue, Mick Underwood & Ralph Hounslow.
