Wednesday 2 September saw Winter Bowls come to a close in reasonably mild conditions with 34 players in attendance.
For the record with Adelaide's winter rainfall approximately 100mls above average, we managed to play on 11 of the 22 scheduled Wednesdays.
Paul Badenoch +26 was the daily winner being closely pursued by Sharon Irwin on +23 with Alan Ludlow +18, Alan Speck +17 & Jo Kirby +14 filling the other minors.
Best 2nd round with a magnificent +15 went to Paul Badenoch & Sharon Irwin while Bob Rutten, Peter Quick & Tom Morgan were lucky draw recipients.
Cathy Stevens was crowned Wednesday Winter Shield champion closely with Sharon Irwin, Steve van deer Veen, Giovanni Spagnuolo & John Blue holding close quarters.
Thanks to the many volunteers who made the days run so smoothly.
