Week 2 saw Thursday Night Owlers presented with coolish conditions as many fine matches were played and brilliant bowls put down.
Girls With Bowls were champion rink with a 23-6 win over new side Rolls Bowls, the later showing significant first up talent. Girls With Bowls sit top of the table, these are early days but there is some talk that they may go one better than their last bowl loss to Completely Biased in the 2018 Grand Final.
We also welcomed Flippers over from Tuesdays who just fell short in a closely held affair against Dons while Unbiased Opinions also on debut claimed a first up victory 13-10 over Silverbacks
Three 1 shot games also emanated with Leave Pass accounting for Hijackers 12-11, 120Ys 14-13 over Chuffed & Nenz & Space Cowboys 18-17 to the good of Hooters. Meanwhile Tobias Carter was seething at Completely Biased 8-21 drubbing at the hands of Test Eagles. Short of calling for a Royal Comission, Tobias promised an "angry and nasty" Completely Biased next week. I am sure Goodfellas are shaking.
The Foxtel rink 4 next week see Four Amigos clash with Space Cowboys. The 2013 Champions are also under pressure after their week 1 thrashing but a Bali retreat during their bye week will see Four Amigos a better unit. The Superb Owls Norty Sportys clash looms likely as both had huge week 1 wins followed by a bye in week 2. And finally, one for archivists as Wombats and Bowls Brother will be rolled out to strut their undoubtedly superlative stuff.
Enjoy, Night Owls is brilliant @ Sturt
