It was fantastic win by our 4th side in Division 4 East last Wednesday vs Payneham IV. Two rinks up and one narrowly missing in the 58-49 triumph.
The 4ths were the pride of Sturt this day and Dirk de Jong, Lesley Dunstall, Joe Capasso and Nick Manglaras were the enforcers being rink of day (20-12).
de Jong of Green Moon Tuesday night owls fame was on debut and played superbly. Dunstall, helping the blokes out, was her stoic self, bowling very well and with the able Joe Capasso and calmness and skill of skip Manglaras, the side was always in good hands.
One senses improvement in this group, and we eagerly await the challenges of 2026.
