Tuesday Night Owls concluded with a huge bang last night with 14 classic matches and 4 great grand finals.
In the Premiership, Brian Dunstall's Easy Rollers had a 20-12 win over Rob Nuus' Ponderosa. The match was tight with the experience of the Easy Rollers prevailing as they pulled away late. That makes 5 titles for the Easy Rollers, fantastic achievement, and also special mention to Ponderosa who had a very good finals campaign.
In the Championship, Rob Goode's Blue Baggers held off Tim Wilson's Calling All Ducks 18-10 in a great tussle. Both these sides have been coming out since day dot and their efforts are much appreciated.
The Excellenza was another classic encounter as Mollydookers just outstayed Bowled & Beautiful to triumph 14-7. Skips Martin Fry and Karen Esdale traded blows with their yellow bowls, and both made significant contributions.
And finally, after losing their first 6 Sharon Gray's Nomads are the Cinderella story in claiming the LaLiga 20-9 over Jane Hellier's Crackerjaks. Excellent Nomads but also a huge shout out to Crackerjaks who in their first season made the GF.
