Don't ever underestimate the competitive streak in the men at Sturt Bowling Club.
Just when we thought the women members had taken an unassailable lead in the coveted unofficial award for Brightest Bowler, a group of men have fought back - with flair and dash.
Last week we reported on "the women in green" whose outfits at Winter Bowls included an amazing combination of poise, class and elegance.
We thought the men would never be able to beat that combo.
But they have.
They have reached into the bottom of their bedroom dresser drawers and pulled out their best and boldest 'rock' t-shirts.
This group of brave, empowered men includes Stew Allen, Bob Rutten, Steve van der Veen, Graham Wood, Martin Fry, Robb Nuus and Paul Teesdale.
They're now role models for the other men.
Their t-shirts capture a vast range of rock stars and groups and festivals, including AC/DC, The Kinks, The Pretty Things, Oasis, Alice Cooper, John Lennon, River of Rock, Mundi Mundi Bash, Triple J Top 100 and more.
Will the women be able to bounce back?
