Saturday 11 April 2026 was one of those challenging Winter Bowls days - the sun came and went; the rain started and stopped.
And players reacted differently to the slow greens and fluctuating weather.
Some people hid under their beanies, kept their hands in their warm pockets and stayed serious.
Others like Deane Pye, Cheryl Saunders, Janine Skurray, Fiona Mansfield, Michelle Kirby, Steve Van Der Veen and Gareth Lloyd occasionally let their emotions out, brightening proceedings.
But despite the weather, everyone enjoyed the company, the ambience and the well-organised bowling competition.
