This month's update is a little different from our usual President's message.
As many of you will already know, Rod Ettridge recently resigned as President due to personal health matters. On behalf of the Board and all our members, I would like to sincerely thank Rod for his leadership, dedication and commitment to Sturt Bowling Club over the past 14 months. During his time as President, Rod helped guide the club through an exciting period as we continued planning for our redevelopment and preparing for the future. We wish Rod all the very best and hope he can now focus on his health and wellbeing.
Following Rod's resignation, and in accordance with our Constitution, the Board has appointed David McVicar as President. We congratulate David on his appointment and know he will receive the same support and encouragement from our members that Rod enjoyed during his time in the role.
The Board has also made the following appointments:
Congratulations to David, Steve and Di as they take on their new responsibilities. With the new season fast approaching, there is plenty happening around the club, and I know they are looking forward to working with our Board, volunteers and members to continue building on the great work already underway.
Our redevelopment fundraising campaign is now well underway, and I'd like to thank everyone who has already contributed or expressed their support. A number of members have asked what the fundraising will specifically help to deliver, so we've attached a document outlining the projects currently identified for funding, together with their estimated costs.
These projects represent enhancements that will help us make the most of our redevelopment and create facilities that will benefit members and visitors for many years to come. I encourage you to take a few minutes to read through the document and see how your support will help shape the future of Sturt Bowling Club.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our club.
