Midweek Pennants was highlighted by the Wednesday top side home win vs Edwardstown I, 139-91 (Division 2 South) and Thursday's 2nds in an 89-28 drubbing of Beaumont III (Division 2 East). Both sides had all rinks up and sit at the top of the ladder.
Therein lay our rinks of the day, so congratulations to Chris "Gomez" Adam, Kim Keane and Richard Weeks 39-20 and Diane Phillips, Jennifer Johns, Margie Haines & Cheryl Saunders 39-5 in stunning displays.
Wednesday's 2nd side lost by 6 shots away to Beaumont III with 3 rinks up. We sit 5th on the Division 3 East ladder. Meanwhile the 3rds & 4ths had respective strong performances @ Millswood III (16 shots, 2 rinks up, Division 4 Central East, 1st) and a home win vs Toorak Burnside III (12 shots, 2 rinks up, Division 4 East, 7th).
Thursday's top side had a tricky away visit to Prospect Broadview I succumbing by 14 shots (1 rink up). Sitting 6th in Division 1 North, the enormity of the promotional challenge is real but one which we embrace enthusiastically. Our 3rds had a 49 shot loss @ Tranmere III, always tough out there, lessons learnt and we move on (1 rink up, Division 2 East, 6th). And the 4th side in the testing 2 South West Division took it right up to Glenelg II @ home. 1 rink up and a narrow 7 shot loss was a very creditable performance.
