Winter Bowls resumes on Wednesday 8 April and will continue (when greens open) on Saturdays and Wednesdays until the end of August.
There are no bookings with bowlers needing to register in person from 1130 but before 12 with play to start as soon as practical thereafter.
Cost is $5 per player that is fully distributed in prize money that will be notified before play.
Two matches of pairs (or triples) are drawn. Players are allocated a different pair (triple) in the 2nd game.
Winner and placegetters are determined by the best shot differential over the 2 matches with countback from last end(s) if scores are tied.
Points for the Winter Shield for each day are allocated on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis.
Previous Shield winners that will be gracing the greens this winter are from Saturdays Deano Pye (2018), Tommy Morgan (2020), Bruce Williams (2023) & Steve van der Veen (2024) and from Wednesdays, John Blue (2020, 2025), Peter Welsh (2023) & Yvonne Sinclair, Rob Warhurst (2024).
