“Help Us Do More” Fundraising Drive

Dear Members,

A great club getting even better — and we'd love your help.

Since 1903, Sturt Bowling Club has been more than just a place to play bowls. It's where friendships are made, where our community gathers, and where generations of players have shared countless memorable moments on the green.

We're already well underway with a major redevelopment of our clubhouse and facilities — and the excitement around what's coming is real. But we want to go further, and we want to get there faster.

That's why we're launching our "Help Us Do More" campaign — a fundraising drive to raise $75,000 to complement the redevelopment with a range of improvements that will make an immediate, tangible difference to our club. Think greens upgrades, new fixtures and fittings, and the finishing touches that complete the picture.

This isn't just about buildings — it's about building a club that's even better for everyone who walks through our doors.

How you can help

We are asking every member of Sturt Bowling Club to consider making a straight donation to the cause — no matter how big or small. There are no tiers, no rewards, no strings attached. Just a genuine contribution to helping our club do more.

Best of all, all donations are tax-deductible through our partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF). So your generosity goes even further.

To donate, simply:

  1. Visit our fundraising page: SBC 'HELP US DO MORE' FUND | Australian Sports Foundation

  2. Or scan the QR code via the poster on the next page or on the walls at the clubroom.

We are so proud of what this club has built over 120 years, and we know that with the support of our wonderful members, the best chapters are still ahead of us.

Thank you for being part of the Sturt Bowling Club family. We hope you'll join us in making a great club even greater.

Warm regards,

Rod Ettridge

President, Sturt Bowling Club

P.S. If you've already donated — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please consider sharing our fundraising page with friends and family who might also like to support us.
