Sun, smiles and scintillating shot making was all on show @ Sturt Bowling Club last Saturday as 50 bowlers presented. There was the usual uptake from visiting bowlers, particularly Millswood Bowling Club. This is always very much appreciated.
Maverick Alex Smith who often has much to say certainly did on the bowling green as he claimed the day with +21 defeating the ever reliable Ralph Hounslow in a countback. In 3rd place was Rod Stuart on +20 while Jackie Hammond & Russell Moore taking 4th & 5th places on +14, edging out Tommy Wise, Massimo Castiglia (Millswood), Richard Weeks & Paul Clohesy on countback. Best 2nd round went to Russell Moore & John McDaid (Adelaide) on +13 with Sharon I & Radek Petlak (Tranmere) claiming the $20 lucky draws.
