Wednesday, Thursday Pennant Results, 14 & 15 October 2026

The midweek competitions opened swimmingly with great performances on both days.

The Wednesday top side away to Marion II and with 4 rinks up were always in control. 23 shots to the good, a great away scalp and the 2 South journey off to an impressive start.

The 2nd side has been up and about for a number of years in 3 East, being premiers in 2024-25. Our season start was so impressive, 15 shots winner over Kensington Marryatville II @ home with 4 rinks up.

Our 3rds hosted Marion IV and a 65-51 victory is a good sign. 2 rinks up and plenty left in the bank.

Our 4th side travelled to Adelaide III and were desperately unlucky in losing all 3 rinks going down by 7 shots overall. A lot to be positive about with these guys....

Rink of the day is David McVicar, Noal Mullins, Peter Hughes & Wyatt Groth with a 32-10 victory in Division 3 East vs Kensington Marryatville II with a special mention to Dave Paley, Alan King, David Beales and Ed Parker who just missed with a 30-11 result in Division 4 Central East against Marion IV (Marion = Central East mmmm!!)

On Thursday, fantastic scenes.

Our top side on being promoted to Division 1 North defeated Payneham I (finalist in this division last season) @ home by 2 shots.

The Magoos were away to Toorak Burnside II in Division 2 East and in a terrific performance were 46 shots victors. All rinks up and it is never easy out there.

The 3rd side hosted Prospect Broadview II, also in 2 East, and emphatically accounted for their opponents by 30 shots.

And while the journey to the Bay is always a tough encounter, our 4ths went well. Division 2 South West won't be easy and the 9 shot loss while disappointing, there was enough on display to suggest this bunch will be very competitive.

Rink of the day, Michelle Kirby, Sharon Irwin, Diana Frankcom & Sonia Matteucci 31-5 @ Toorak Burnside II while Diana Parsons, Karen Hill, Libby Lock & Beryl Tape were next best in a home clash against Prospect Broadview II to the tune of 37-14.

Keep this momentum going on both days...
